Tuan is a jazz-influenced band that transforms their spontaneous jam sessions into fully realized songs. They embrace collaboration, often featuring a diverse range of musicians in both their studio recordings and live performances. With a passion for playing anywhere and everywhere, they perform in venues of all sizes, from intimate art galleries to expansive stages. Many of their shows are organized by music communities and artist collectives, groups that each Tuan member is deeply involved with.

Chansing Dai:
Chansing Dai (Chansing D.) is a Bay Area jazz guitarist, composer, producer, and bandleader. He serves as the music director, composer, and one of the production person for TUAN, Chemlab, Left Lane Ends, and Take Turns Jazz Ensemble, bringing together musicians from diverse backgrounds to explore original compositions, jazz improvisation, and cross-cultural musical collaboration. Drawing inspiration from jazz, indie, fusion, and contemporary musical traditions, Chansing has performed extensively throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to his work as a performer, he has served as a composer, arranger, recording engineer, and music supervisor for live performances, recordings, and multimedia projects.

Josh Qian:
One of the Bay Area's most respected drummers and renowned percussion educators, Josh has mentored numerous students who have gone on to become drummers for prominent Bay Area bands.As the band's manager, Josh coordinates with venues, clients, and record labels while overseeing the band's schedule, task management, and deadlines. He is the trusted organizer who keeps everything running smoothly and serves as the band's primary representative and liaison.

Ryan Foo:
Ryan is a respected Bay Area musician and the founder of Atelier Collective, a creative music initiative that showcases a diverse community of original artists, including TUAN. As the band's production specialist, he brings valuable technical expertise through his experience in the music technology industry, helping shape the band's creative and production process. As TUAN's bassist, Ryan draws from jazz and indie influences to create a distinctive musical voice. His expressive bass playing and original compositions contribute significantly to the band's unique sound and artistic direction.

Yifan Dang:
Yifan is the keyboardist for TUAN and a sought-after collaborator for several respected music groups throughout the Bay Area. As a member of the band's rhythm section, he provides a solid musical foundation while contributing his own distinctive compositional ideas and creative perspective. Having lived in different parts of the United States, Yifan draws from a wide range of cultural and musical influences. These diverse experiences shape his approach to performance and composition, adding depth and character to TUAN's sound.
